REALIZING NON–DUAL LIBERATION, ENLIGHTENMENT BY SELF-INQUIRY – PT 9

Divine Grace takes the form of the very self-effort by which we awaken from the Illusion of Duality as we are absorbed in one’s very Identity referred to in Tat Tvam Asi (“Thou Art That”), Brahman.  Comprehended only by Itself, Atman, the Self, this Pure Existence is itself the self-knowing Knowledge, & at the same time Bliss, 1–without–a–2^nd or Non-Dual.  There is no other Knower & there is no object to be known, leaving self-knowing as True Knowledge.  Transcending thought, by its absence, or by non-attachment to thought, not retaining any concept of tendency (vasana), free of Mis-identification with the Body, Mind, Life-Force (Prana), or Ego-Individuality, (Ahamkara), we contemplate, without standing apart, Oneness, Identification with Pure Existence, with un-distracted focus on Ultimate Truth, one inquiring abandons meandering delusions for the sake of sacred Self-Realization. Thus the one inquiring is absorbed in That which is blissful, un-limited, un-divided, beyond Body & Mind, into Formless Existence.

Should any distraction or other thought appear, Sri Ramana Maharshi’s instruction was to inquire deeply within: “For whom is this thought ?” & so on.  Disappointed in one’s apparently limited success in this interior process, the existence of the one who would be disappointed would be further proof of the Self if one inquires: “For whom is this disappointment ?”  Penetrating in past the apparent “I”, to the Formless Self, we find that in this sense, all of our Illusions only prove the Reality & nothing more.  If there is one to have the disappointing, or any other experience, “Whom is that one ?”  “Who am I ?”
