The Self never changes its True Nature. Therefore, the ideas condition themselves & never the Pure Existence upon which they depend. It is impossible to ever get to the Self, since the Self is always present. If we feel that we are trying to reach the Self. The Endeavor is noble, but it is accomplished by realizing that the one who is supposed to reach the Self, is himself the Self that he is trying to reach.
The essence of the spiritual Means is the End itself. The End appears in spiritual practice as the Means (the Self & Self-Inquiry merge into one). By clear Discernment, one knows oneself truly. Thus one knows Reality as It is. Discerning Knowledge shows the clear, direct Path. Discernment shows what Self-Realization is. Discerning Knowledge is what composes, constitutes the spiritual Path. In its True Nature, the Knowledge is directly experienced without any intermediary. That is the Knowledge of Consciousness itself. Any spiritual advance is in essence always one of Knowledge. Knowledge is the essential spiritual experience.
Knowledge is not physical or mental in character. Knowledge is not a sensation, a word, or an idea. The basis of Knowledge is Pure Existence itself. The attainment of Knowledge endure as Pure Existence endures, for Knowledge is not dependent upon anything of a temporary or transitory character. Knowledge is the Formless Path to the Formless.
