REALIZING NON–DUAL LIBERATION, ENLIGHTENMENT BY SELF-INQUIRY – PT 182

[The Teaching  of Non-Duality has been adapted from Master Nome, disciple of Sri Ramana Maharshi.  Sections appended below derive from Sri Ramana’s Teaching.]

By Dis-identification from what is transient & what is merely a product of delusive notions, one liberates oneself from all of the Illusion.  The Self is colorless, shapeless, of the nature of ExistenceConsciousness, universal, Uncreated, Eternal, Infinite, beyond Birth & Death, Formless, & un-differentiated. Such is the natural experience of all those who see themselves with the eye of true Knowledge, with which those who practice Self-Inquiry to know the Self become endowed.

[Sri Ramana]

The fact of the Ego rising from the Self & forgetting it, is Birth.  So, it may be said that the Birth of the Individual has killed the “mother” (recognition of the Self).  The present desire to regain one’s “mother” is in reality the desire to regain the Self, which is the same as realizing one’s self, or the death of the Ego.  This is surrender unto the “mother”, so she may live eternally.

There is no Creation, no Destruction, no Bondage, no longing to be freed from Bondage, no striving for Liberation, nor anyone who has attained Liberation. Know that this to be Ultimate Truth.
